Contour Composites has been in business since 1981. Contour Composites started in a small shop in Ogden, Utah producing composite ducting components for F-4 aircraft at Hill Air Force Base.
Do you assist customers with the design process?
Yes, Contour Composites has an engineering staff with extensive experience in aircraft and composite manufacturing to assist you through the design process. We work closely with customers to assure that all their particular requirements and expectations are met from the initial design process through to final production.
How quickly can you turn a quote around?
Usually, we can provide a quote in a week in order to be thorough and complete. If necessary, we will provide a quote in a faster time frame.
What processes can you perform?
Contour Composites is skilled in many different processes such as: hand-wet lay up, hand-pre preg lay up, vacuum bag technique, autoclave curing, hand trimming, machine trimming, finish work, and painting. Contour Composites uses many proprietary techniques that have been developed over the years to reduce costs and increase quality. Contour Composites also has a full machine shop with a lathe and CNC mill to provide support for tooling and component production.
What quality level are you under?
Contour Composites is certified to MIL-I-45208. We are continually striving to improve our quality and quality system to meet the demands of our customers.

Do you have your own autoclave?
Yes, Contour Composites operates two autoclaves, one horizontal 55” dia. X 96” long and one clam shell clave 48” dia X 24” deep.
Do you out source any of your work?
Yes, we out source some tooling projects, some testing and inspection and some metal machined components.
